This looming labour crisis is not specific to any one group or industry or region for that matter. If people understand the changing demographics, they will also understand that they need to lead differently going forward. Government and businesses need to start investing in employee engagement. That means learning how to truly engage the talent you have, and also changing the way you find and attract talent. There needs to be more focus on attracting talent from outside Canada. Immigration is a powerful tool, and if companies don’t start adopting new strategies, they will not survive.
