Road work has begun in Labrador City last week (May 1).

The work that was not completed last year as resumed, which includes areas of Tamarack Drive, Hudson Drive, and McParland Drive.

Totaling $1 million, the work was approved last year but could not be completed because it was too late in the season.

The town of Labrador City has also made an application for more capital works dollars to address the roadwork needs in the community.

“Over the next little while, once the (asphalt) plant gets open we’ll start the work on the road repairs that weren’t completed last year,” city mayor Janice Barnes said.
