AMD Holdings Ltd. of St. John’s, Newfoundland has been awarded a $551,440 tender to undertake roofing work at Beachy Cove Elementary, a K-6 school in Portugal Cove-St. Philip’s.

Since 2004, about $2.7 million has been approved for upgrades and extensions to Beachy Cove Elementary, where enrolment has increased by over 155 students, or 30 per cent, in the past 10 years.
