The $110 million project has been on hold since ConCreate USL, the original contractor, went into receivership in March.
Claude Williams told CBC News that the province had hired Horseshoe Hill Construction to complete the projects.
The Transportation and Infrastructure Minister said the Ontario firm included senior members of ConCreate USL who were familiar with both the work that had been completed and was needed to be done.
Williams said the construction company would be watched very closely and paid on a monthly basis.
