[HALIFAX, NS] — The Halifax Marriott Harbourfront was the place to be on January 26 for local businesses as the Halifax Chamber of Commerce announced the winners of the 2012 Halifax Business Awards and celebrated the 12th anniversary of the awards gala.
"Our 2012 finalists have very different businesses, come from different backgrounds, and industries. But despite all their differences, there is one thing they do have in common — confidence. Confidence in their ideas, confidence in their businesses, and confidence to take chances, even when the risks are high and the future is unclear," says Valerie Payn, president of the Halifax Chamber of Commerce.
